8 Causes of Prostatitis
Painful sensations in stomach, experience colics and discomfort when urinating, suffer from fever at night? You are likely to have prostatitis.
Prostatitis is inflammation of the prostate gland. The main reason of this development is infection.
It may happen so that you had been infected, but did not realize that until one or all of the mentioned above symptoms showed themselves.
Prostatitis aggravates and begins developing rapidly due to some certain reasons. Here they are.
Main causes of prostatitis
Cause 1. Cold
Young men who lead very active life and those who prefer extremal sports often become patients of urologists. Those who are involved in diving, surf-riding, rowing and canoeing and Alpine skiing are at great risk to have prostatitis. All these sports require serious physical strain and deal with cold. Enthusiastic sportsmen do not care about these factors and note the consequences only when the unpleasant symptoms appear.
Cause 2. Sedentary life
Inhabitants of big cities who lead a stressful, but inactive life are also inclined to prostatitis. These men lack physical activity as they almost always sit: either in the car or in front of the computer. As the result blood circulation in the pelvis worsens and pelvic stagnation occurs.
Cause 3. Untreated inflammations
Development of prostatitis is often caused by chronic inflammatory diseases such as bronchitis, or focal infections: quincy, sinusitis and caries. Disease-causing bacteria are brought to the prostate with blood and inflammatory tissue occurs there.
Cause 4. Stress
Prostatitis often occurs in those who exercise in gym too much, get not enough sleeping, eat irregularly and work from morning till night. The general physical and psychological over strain leads to bad immunity that provokes all the “sleeping” infections to wake up.
Cause 5. Sexually Transmitted Diseases
We need hardly mention that those who enjoy unprotected sex and get sexually transmitted diseases are at great risk to have prostatitis. For instance untreated honorrhea in circa 80 percent of cases causes prostatitis.
Cause 6.Long abstinence
According to the statistics, men who have sex rarer than 2 times a month suffer from prostatitis 3 times more often than those who enjoy lovemaking 2-3 times a week. Long sexual abstinence causes stagnation of secretion of prostate and the causative agents of prostatitis become active.
Cause 7. Sleeping infections
The state of kidneys, urinary bladder and the prostate are in close connection. For instance untreated pyelonephritis and cystitis (by the way, men suffer from inflammation of urinary bladder as often as women) are a source of infection in the pelvis. Prostate is very sensitive to infection.
Cause 8. Herpes
Sometimes inflammation of the prostate is caused by the virus of herpes when the immunity system is weak. Strengthen your immunity system!
