CANDIDIASIS
Sometimes it is quite difficult to find out whether your husband cheats on you or not. Of course, you can investigate your husbands clothes trying to smell scent of other woman. Also you can check his pockets in search of an evidince. However, an irrefutable proof of faithlessness are strange discharges from vagina after intercourse. And the first assumption that it is the husband who caught an infection somewhere, turns out to be right in most cases.
But this is not always true. If a woman does not want to be mistaken she should remember that there is a peculiar disease, that actually is not a sexually transmitted one. It is called candidiasis, and a husband is not always to blame if it occurs.
Causes of candidiasis
This disease is not provoked by pathogenic bacteria. Actually, it is caused by a yeast fungus called Candida. These fungi live in vegetables, fruit, sweets and fly in the air. Also they can be found in some parts of human body: in the mouth, in the digestive tract and on the genitals, thus provoking sexual health problems.
When there are few fungi, they are harmless. But since they got out of hand and began to propagate themselves, candidiasis occurs. The fugus needs special conditions to become a cause of the disease. The environment should not be acid and the organism the fugus lives in must be weak and not able to fight infections. Such state of the organism is usually caused by antibiotics, weakening of immunity ( AIDS and cronic inflammatory diseases), disoders in metabolism (diabetis), wrong nutrition (many sweets and few vitamines). Other causes are: hormonal disorders (taking of oral contraceptives and pregnancy) and even wearing of tight synthetic trunks. Actually tight undercloghes are generally not good for sexual health.
Candidasis can develop anywhere: in bronchi, in the mouth, in the digestive tract, on the genitals. The most frequent is genital candidiasis.
What do you feel if you have caught it?
This disease cannot be mixed up with any other one. If a woman has candidasis she feels a terrible itch and pain in vagina. She suffers from abundant white discharges. Intercourse and urination are painful.
Complications
When the number of fugi becomes too big, they begin to damage the external layer of cells covering genitalies.
Though candidiasis is not too harmful, it provokes many unpleasant sensations and prevents a woman from normal sex life. Very rarely candidiasis becomes chronic and then it can damage the nearest organs: urinary bladder and bowels.
Testing of candidiasis
If above-mentioned problems occur, a woman should visit a doctor immidiately. It is enough to reveal the diseases causative agent fungus Candida. A doctor will take a swab from the patients vagina and examine it microscopically in order to identify it. In fact other more complex methods are not required.
Treatment of candidiasis
First of all, the causes that provoked a fast reproduction of Candida fungi should be eliminated. Woman is advised to stop taking antibiotics and using contraceptives. Also the doctor prescribes vitamins and medicines normalising metabolism and increasing immunity. Then a real treatment begins: a woman is prescribed antifungal medicines in pills, ointments or vaginal tablets.
As you see, treatment of candidiasis is quite simple. It is successfull as well. So do not suffer unpleasant sensations. Visit your doctor and your sexual health will be improved in the shortest possible time.
