Female Sexual Arousal Disorders

Female sexuality is something incomprehensible. Even since the time of queen Victoria men try to disclose the main secrets of female organism. In 1913 Alfred Adler arrived to the conclusion that circa 80 per cent of women are sexually insensitive. An enormous number of theoretical quides designed for sex life improving tried to teach men how to satisfy women. The number of science achievments intended for helping women to get the desired pleasure extended.
Eventually sexual education step by step gave some good results and in 1975 doctor Kinsey claimed that 75 per cent of women rarely have orgasm during traditional sexual intercourses. According to researches of 2003 the number of women who never had orgasm or had it quite seldom turned out to be equal to 30 per cent. You can see that there is an enormous progress, but anyway the figure is too big. Scientists explained this situation first of all by the fact that male and female sexuality have different physiological and psychological nature.

There are 4 types of female sexual disorders

Lack of sexual desire
Orgasm problems
Vaginism
Pain while having sex

Why does it happen?

It is known that men enjoy an inevitable consequence ejaculation-orgasm- satisfaction, whereas a woman can normally have orgasm without satisfaction as well as satisfaction without orgasm. It happens because female sexuality consists of three phases: desire, arousal and orgasm.
Sexual desire (libido) includes sex fantasies and thoughts. Arousal is a special state of the organism that makes a correspondent sexual reaction possible. Orgasm is the result of various impulses that come from clitoris, vulvar lips and vagina and consists in muscles contractions. These impulses influence so called centre of pleasure in the cerebral cortex and cause satisfaction.
The vast mojority of women as a rule have the first orgasm in some time (weeks-months-years) after the beginning of regular sex life. According to the opinion of some sexologists, satisfaction that a woman gets from orgasm is much stronger than satisfaction a man can have. Female satisfaction depends on such psychological circumstances as tenderness and love towards the partner, the feeling of closeness with him, the happines of being beloved and others.
However, nearly every serious disease can prevent a woman from having orgasm. Such diseases are :diabetis, nervous diseases, hormonal disorders and also infections and injuries. Narcotics, tranqualizers and medicines treating hypertension can affect a womans sexual health and ability to have orgasm as well.

Types of female sexual arousal disorders

The cause of dyspaurenia, that is pain while having sex, are usually physiological ones. For instance, any factor that diminishes vaginas lubrication can cause discomfort during intercourse. Perhaps, in many cases medicines that dry up are to blame. These medicines are those that are used for allergy, cold, antritis treatment and some tranquilizers. Diabetis, infections and vagina injuries cause the same effect.
The causes of vaginism are psychological ones. Usually it is a protective reaction to painful or psychologically traumatic intercourse. Some physiologic factors, such as thick hymen or its part, dryness of the entrace to the vagina, inflamatorry vaginal deseases, can also cause vaginism.
When speaking about such sexual health problems as frigidity and anorgasmia people often mix up these two notions. Actually, frigidity is inability to feel sexual arousal, whereas anorgasmia is inability to have orgasm.

Women suffering from frigidity and anorgasmy should not think their problems cannot be solved. Actually, often these disorders are resulted from male partners being unskillful, rather than from inner disorders. Male partners of frigid women must take all possible pains to give their lovers pleasure. Be more inventive: try sex positions you have never tried before, try some sex toys. By the way, sex toys can be used by the woman herself, without partner. When masturbating with help of a sex toy a woman might find out what motions she likes and than let her partner know how to please. There is another sex toys advantage: they can help a woman get rid of vaginismus. When trying a sex toy, for example a vibrator, a woman suffering from vaginismus realizes that penis can penetrate her vagina without any pain. Then she is likely to find this penetration pleasant.

In order to reveal the cause of your sexual health problems you should apply to a sexologists. The doctor will answer all your questions and prescribe the necessary treatment.
