Female climacteric

Female climacteric (menopause) is a significant and difficult period of a womans life. Her organism undergoes age-specific changes that influence her social life, personal qualities, emotions and, of course, sexual health.

Menopause is cessation of a womans menstrual cycle. This is an age-specific physiological process that occurs when ovaries stop producing such hormones as estrogen and progesterone. These hormones decrease brings about longer intervals between menstruations and finally leads to the end of menstrual periods.

Symptoms of menopause

The main symptom of menopause is changes in menstrual period.
Production of estrogen and progesterone diminishes in women of 45-60. Periods become irregular and short and subsequently stop. A few years before the last menstruation a woman becomes less likely and later on impossible to get pregnant.

Other symptoms

Hot flashes

Vaginal dryness

Urino-genital problems

Putting on weight

Slight memory loss

Mood changes

Insomnia

Hot flashes are one of the most frequent and early menopause signs. They can occur earlier than other symptoms. This symptom implies a sudden feeling of warmth throughout the body. This process lasts from a few seconds to 30 minutes or even more.

Vaginal dryness occurs because vaginal walls become thicker and less elastic with the increase of years. Vagina becomes more vulnerable to infections. These changes might cause some discomfort and painful sensations during intercourse thus being an obstacle to enjoyable and healthy sex. However, regular and active sex life diminishes these problems and causes their development to stop. Actually regular sex life diminishes risk of many sexual health problems.

Urino-genital problems. With the increase of years many women experience such urinary problems as urinary incontinence caused by physical activity, cough, laughter and performing other movements that put pressure on the bladder.

Putting on weight .It is important to be aware of the fact that every persons metabolism is unique and depends on such factors as gender, genetic peculiarities and age. If the process of metabolism gets less active, your muscle bulk decreases and body begins accumulating fat. This happens because muscle cells burn more calories than fat. Therefore the amount of calories you burn greatly depends on your lean mass.

All the described above problems can and must be coped with. First of all, a woman suffering from menopause problems should not think that all problems she has are inevitable and cannot be treated. They can be treated, they really can! Just apply to a doctor for consultation. A doctor will prescribe you antidepressant drugs, hormones or some other treatment.

Do not think that only drugs can help you. State of your health, your mood, your appearance and your sex life greatly depend on your way of living.

We can advise you to do special exercises for bladders strengthening. If these exercises do not work, you must undergo a special surgery to cope with urinary incontinence which is rather embarrassing and prevents a woman from active social and sex life.

Women suffering from minor vaginal dryness can use special vaginal lubricants and moisturizes. Those who have more severe problems can use estrogen vaginal cream. Vaginal dryness is not the reason to stop active and life!

Pay a special attention to your nutrition. Your diet must include a great amount of vitamin E and B, soy-based milk, nuts and soy cheese. Let your food contain less fat and more cellulose. Avoid spicy food, food rich in carbohydrates, caffeine, fats.

Physical exercises are good not only for your health, but for your sex life as well. Exercises will help you look and feel much better. They also contribute to your orgasm!

Maintain your sexual activity. Researches show that women who continue regular sex life during menopause experience less hot flashes than those who neglect sexual activity.

Regular sex is a solution of many menopause problems as well as other problems connected with sexual health. It improves mood and makes a woman feel attractive and desired.

Health way of living, healthy food and good sexual health these are things which will help you to be always happy, active and full of energy.
