Loss of libido


If you watch TV at night and switch from channel to channel, than you are very likely to come across an erotic scene with beutiful man and woman making love ardently. That looks impressive and sexy and makes you think about your every day life. Is everything so romantic in your life as in this scene that has heated your imagination? According to statistic data, loss of libido is one of the most frequent sexual disorders.
When studying this delicate sexual health problem, scientists met a great number of difficulties. We can resort to various tricks in order to make our sex life seem successfull. At times lack of desire does not affect regularity of sexual life.
Doctors distinguish 3 phases of sexual relations: sex drive, arousal and orgasm. Sex drive and arousal are psychologic statements, whereas orgasm is a physiological process. However, arousal stands on the border between psychology and physiology, because it is shown also physically: teates harden, some pricking is felt in genitalies (because of blood determination). But desire is a product of our consciousness: we feel tenderness, indulge in fantasies, think about sex. Passion without sex drive is impossible. From biological point of view appetence is as natural as hunger. Its complete absence is an abnormality.

Physically and emotionally healthy women lose their libido mainly because of not getting enough sleep, unhealthy food and lack of physical activiy. Everything that is harmful for health affects emotional aspect of sexual life.

Sports makes your mood better and enriches your sensations when making love, because it strenghtens muscles of pelvis and provides bodys flexibility. If you permanently suffer from tiredness, than a thorough medical chekup can reveal its source. Your blood sugar, hemoglobulin concentration and thryoid gland should be examined.

2. Medicines influence


Many medicines can provoke sexual disorders. Usually these are oral contraceptives, especially in the first months of use when the organism has not got used to new hormones balance yet. Also your sex drive can weaken because of some antidepressant drugs that control serotonin level (Prozac, Paxil, Lexapro). According to scientific data, circa 65% of all these drugs consumers are women.
The problems solution. Ask your doctor whether it is possible to change oral contraceptive. What to antidepressant drugs, it is not necessary to stop using them: you had better diminish the dose or take the drugs together with other correcting ones.

3. Changes in hormones


Decrease of estrogen level that occurs in female body between 30 and 35, affects all aspects of sex life. Vaginal muscles become not so flexible, less lubricant is discharged. Hormonal disorders are one of the main problems of sexual health and they should always be under control.
The problems solution. You should visit your doctor. He will examine the amount of sex hormones in blood and then will prescribe you hormonal creams and vaginal tablets that make the lubricant more abundant and will make you get a more complete satisfaction when making love.
As you see, there is no problem without solution. The most important thing is to find out the cause of the problem and to get rid of it by all possible means. So you should not just suffer, you should act. Remember that idleness is the mother of all evil.
