Sexually transmitted diseases

Good sexual health implies absolute safety and ability to enjoy imtimate relationships. Unfortunately, sex is not always delightful and safe. As often as not it brings about some troubles, such as secsually transmitted diseases.
There are infections that can pass from one person to another through intercourse. These are called sexually transmitted diseases.

AIDS

Sexually transmitted infections have a long history. Historians note that the most dangerous diseases of that kind appeared during the time called sexual revolutions. While mankind learned how to fight STI known at that time, new diseases appeared. The worst of them is plague of the 20th century AIDS, that was recognized in 1984. Even in the 20th centrury people have neither managed to stop the AIDS spread nor to invent a medicine which could treat it.

Today there are a lot of various diseases which can be transmitted through sexual contact. One can get infected with some of these if his infected partners body discharges (vaginal fluid or semen) get into his or her organism. Usually such inoffencive actions as kissings, embracements and masturbation do not bring about infection. However, you should know that rarely some infections can be transmitted through saliva.
The vast majority of sexually transmitted diseases are curable. But all of them, being untreated cause severe health problems. Such diseases as AIDS, herpes and genital warts are untreatable. These infections can be imperceptible for their owner and show no signs of their presence. At the same time they can cause some symptoms which may be slight as well as severe ones. These diseases can even result in death. That is why it is significant to be aware of these infections and know how to prevent them.
Sexually transmitted diseases have a peculiarity. It does not imply antiviral immunity acquiring after a complete recovery from such a disease. It means that it is possible to be infected more than one time in ones life.
So the only way to protect yourself from sexually transmitted diseases is safe sex.
What kind of sex can be considered safe? It is possible to offer the following classification of safe sex :
The only example of absolutely safe sex is abstinence or masturbation (you should not think that this is a guide to action, this is just a unit of measure of sex safety)
Safe sex is sex with one reliable partner whose sexual health does not arouse any suspicions, provided you both see the doctor regularly
Relatively safe sex is sex with condom (unfortunately, some infections can be transmitted through saliva, so comdom is not panacea)
Dangerous sex is sex with a strange bedfellow without condom, or sex with a permanent partner who is not choosy in his or her sexual relations
The conclusion is quite simple: no medicine, no mean can protect our sexual health health better than faith. Be loving and faithful and you will win.
